GVC's annual instructor seminar is open to all current GVC instructors, instructors for other BMW CCA chapters, and instructor candidates free of charge

Topics currently on the agenda include 1) Update on instructing in cars with "Advanced Driver Assist", 2) National instructor accreditation with Motorsports Safety Foundation; 3) Run group exercises; 4) Personal communicators: Problems and solutions.

This year's seminar is open to all current GVC instructors, instructors for other BMW CCA chapters, and instructor candidates free of charge. Instructors from other recognized car clubs and commercial track-day organizations may attend (for a fee), but require permission of the GVC Chief Instructor or ITS Director (email contact info below).

Specials: 

Jay Braxton, representing Simpson Race Products, will be doing a presentation on the latest developments in personal safety equipment.  Jay has years of experience with racing safety gear, and he's currently SRP's Stilo helmet field service representative.   He has also conducted HANS and Hybrid head restraint training at the recent Performance Racing Industry show.

Jay will be bringing a selection of Simpson products, including helmets (Simpson and Stilo), HANS and “Hybrid” head and neck restraints.  He will do fittings and take orders for Simpson safety products at a 20% discount for seminar attendees!


*Communicators:  Joe Marko from HMS Motorsports will not be attending, but has offered to send us information and samples of HMS' TRAC-COM helmet-to-helmet intercom.  Joe is offering a 20% group discount on communicator orders from seminar attendees. This is your chance to jettison your old cranky Chatterbox for a robust unit that can withstand the rigors of driving school use.

Fees:

FREE to GVC, BMW CCA, PCA, and BMW Clubs Canada instructors, as well as instructor candidates who will be taking ITS at our June driving school  .
All others:  $100 paid by check/money order to "Genesee Valley Chapter BMW CCA" in advance, or at the door.
