Both pieces are in a private collection on the east coast. I am a private art dealer in Los Angeles, Ca.
The painting is acrylic on paper and depicts the original floral design for the car. The car is an original fiberglass BMW 320i Art Car incorporating Warhol's wily Pop-Art floral design commissioned by BMW in 1978.
Today, fifteen Art Car maquettes including Andy Warhol's 1979 M1 Art Car are on display at the BMW Museum in Munich, Germany. The large fiberglass BMW maquette measuring 37x 10x 15¼ inches with spun aluminum wheels was made especially to scale for Warhol by the BMW race team in Munich. The artists who participated in the Art Car commissions were asked to recreate their scintillating designs, based on their original painted maquettes, on the actual race cars before each race at which time their working models became the property of BMW. When BMW withdrew the 1978 Le Mans racecar Andy Warhol's maquette became the only BMW Art Car in private hands.
Certificates on the painting and Art Car from the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board, as well as complete 360 degree images of the car, and other pertinent documentation, can be provided for the buyer's reference.

The wheels are 8.5" x 18" with a 18mm offset and 5-120mm bolt pattern, may fit other vehicles. Snow tires are 245/50 R18 and have seen better days, would need to be replaced for serious winter driving, price is reflective of worn tires. 3 of 4 rims are in excellent condition and one has minor scuffing on edge that is in 2nd picture. $240.00 for set. approved on November 08, 2008 | | | | | E46 M3 Basic Track Packag - FOR SALE: E46 M3 Basic Track Package for DE Event, Beginner/Intermediate Level Student Track Wheels w/ Street Tires BMW E46 M3 OE 18” Style 67, M Double Spoke, Chrome Shadow wheels; 8x18 front ($572 list price); 9x18 rear ($630 list price); mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires 225/45ZR18 front ($238 list); 255/40ZR18 rear ($290 list). The wheels have many cosmetic defects (scratches, dings, chips) but are not bent, are all mechanically balanced and true, and safe for the track. These are track-only or winter-only wheels. The tires have about 70% of the tread left and are all worn evenly. ASKING $795 for the mounted set. Will sell separately if buyer pays for dismounting.
Schroth Quick-Fit four point safety harnesses (driver and passenger sides) specifically for the E46 M3 only. These are the only four-point harnesses approved for most DE events, and are also street-legal. These were purchased new in April 2007 from HMS Motorsport for $225 each.
